CSCS currently is one of CARE’s partners implementing the, “Sewing for a Healthy Future”, an HIV/STDs education project with garment/Textile factory workers. The goal of “Sewing for a Healthy Future” is to contribute towards the USAID Strategic Objective of Increased Use of High Impact HIV/AIDs and Family Health Services and Appropriate Health Seeking Behaviors among garment factories (GFW’s) including youth. For the purpose of this project, adolesencents are defined as 15-24 years. The project aims to reach at least 50,000 young factory workers including life-skill graduates/peers and at least 50 factories health personnel at factories located in Phnom Penh and on its outskirts. Intensive health education activities based on a tested curriculum is being conducted among garment workers in the factory and residential areas.
