The Project will help the Government achieve its goal of poverty reduction and economic development by providing support for enhancing the quality of education through institutional capacity development for planning, design, and delivery of education services and by strengthening secondary education.

The impact of the Project will be an increased number of better educated and skilled people from all sections of Cambodia’s population. The Project will achieve this by carefully targeting support for:

  • education system management and development,
  • professional development of teachers, and
  • strengthening Secondary education.

The Project outcome will be improved quality and equity of education in Cambodia with more effective secondary education, improved teacher training, and stronger education management systems.

The consulting services cover broad areas of expertise that include:

  1. Institutional development,
  2. Management information system (MIS) development,
  3. Teacher professional development,
  4. Curriculum and materials development including information and communication technology (ICT), 
  5. Examination reform,
  6. facilities and equipment improvement, and
  7. Gender and equitable access.

To support this project, CSCS is providing 7 international and 40 national consultants.
