Greater Mekong  Sub-Regional Workshop
‘Strengthening the Education Sector Response to School Health and Nutrition, including HIV&AIDS’
Organised by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), 
Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia 5th to 9th March, 2007
The Workshop aims to bring together sub-regional,  national and local stakeholders involved in developing education 
sector  responses to health-related issues including HIV&AIDS.  This may include stakeholders from ministries  of 
education, health, community development/social welfare, women and youth,  the National AIDS Commission, teacher 
unions, civil society, people living with  HIV&AIDS and development partners. Key national/sub-regional/international  
experts are identified who not only provide a source of relevant knowledge and  experience, but also play an important 
facilitation and guidance role. 

It was a great opportunity for CSCS to display and show its Life SKills for HIV & AIDS Education (LSHE) project successfully implemented in the districts of Banteay Srey, Srey Snam, Angkor Thom, Prasat Bakong, Chi Kreng and Soutr Nikum in the Siem Reap Province in very close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. Ms. Lay Sokunthea, Executive Director, Mrs Nget Sinuon, Kampong Thom LSHE Provincial Project Coordinator, and Ms. Ly Bunnary, Siem Reap LSHE Senior Trainer participated in the event and actively took part to work groups on HIV&AIDS, nutrition related issues.
