Our experience at working with international, local organizations and Government bodies enables us to deliver training and build local capacity at the grass roots level. CSCS’ Phnom Penh office closely monitors and coordinates our four regional offices in Siem Reap, Kratie, Kompong Thom and Koh Kong provinces, who in turn manage our work in the other provinces. Through our shared responsibilities with our partner, in the USAID funded Cambodian Basic Education project, DFID funded project “Life Skills for HIV/AIDS Education” for in school and out school youth, partnership with SKM (Sinclair Knight Merz– Australia) in the ADB funded ASDP (Agriculture Sector Development Program– Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries), CSCS has established a strong relationship with the Ministries at the national, provincial and district levels. We have also developed a strong network within relevant local authorities, communities, other NGOs and the private sector, having delivered training to Peer Educators in local garment factories over the last five years.
CSCS has considerable experience in field work and training, both with communities and with public sector systems, notably the MoEYS and MoSAVY (the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation). CSCS is a Cambodian NGO with excellent contacts and experience at province and district level working with communities in both formal and informal settings (i.e., in workshops and interaction with communities during their working day).
CSCS has considerable staff resources on hand to enable it to successfully deliver the outcomes of projects. Our 72 staff has proven skills across project management, financial administration, reporting and monitoring, curriculum development and training. Our 12 community trainers have recognized qualifications in pedagogy. We draw on a pool of talented, committed and experienced staff, utilizing both local and international consultants.
